Can’t Forget – by Siddesh Rao

(A sweet love story enlaced in a poem….)

Cant forget the day, the first time we talked ,
A sweet little girl was she , whom i didnt know at all,
We actually met virtually, i mean on Facebook ,
We had a chat that day that lasted tym long .

Cant forget the days, we talked for hours,
How sweet was she, i came to know by her talks,
I started falling for her, slowly and steadily,
She was definitely made for me and not for others all.

Cant forget the day, i met her for the first time,
The stage was set , it was her birthday,
Her beauty made me crazy and numb, all at a time,
A glance of hers that night actually made my day.

Cant forget the day, i met her for the second time,
We held our hands tight the whole time,
The day when i sat besides her,
Probably, it was the best day of my life.

Cant forget the day, when we kissed for the first time,
I had been waiting for this day time long,
Her soothing aura tickled my nose,
Nothing in this world can now break our relationship, i thought.

Everything was on the right track,
And suddenly all the things got changed,
Slowly and steadily, love got sidelined,
And ego now took the center stage.

Cant forget the day, we fought so hard,
I asked, “dont you remember anything at all?”
“It was a mistake”, she answered,
That day, i cried heavily by the wall.

She made my life special with all the love,
And i am thankful to her for the same,
Now i only have one hope that,
My best days come to me once again.

Failure – By Aditya Naik

All they say is one thing
Even if you fail just try
Fall but don’t give up
Try but never do cry
Trying is just not an option
When you give up all hope
It’s like climbing mountains
With neither clips nor rope
Time slows down by large
So does our very own mind
Filled with needless advice
Of those pretend to be kind
Advice isn’t a very big deal
Just almost every guy does
Its just a set of big words
Which keep going buzz
But little do they know
That how is the real pain
When all with you march
Leaving you down the lane
It isn’t easy for someone
Who once was a master
Now all he can do is fail
When fate is a disaster
Some try and try and try
And end up feeling low
While some give up early
Not knowing where to go
But there is a third kind
Aloof from the two rest
Who wait till the sunrise
As this night was the test
Life is just a sine wave
It has its ups and downs
When the downs go long
Ups are on way to town
Time it takes to smile
Time it takes to cry
Time makes you kneel
Time makes you fly,
Even if you don’t try
Just wait in the lines
Because we get hay
Only when sun shines

The Last Attempt – By Rohan Mundhe

Thank you so much god,

or whoever put me on this planet..
for saving me from the misery of being a woman..
and making me the MAN,by default a ruler..

It’s just fantastic how well I’m established here..
unlike those poor women, only living to breath air..
it makes me feel special that i belong to a mighty breed..
unlike those poor women, being punished for the unknown sins they did..

I enjoy every aspect of what we call the FREEDOM..
unlike those poor women, forbidden by the divine law to only live some..
No one dare to teach me how should i be and what should i do..
unlike those poor women, bound to catch the preaching’s flu..

I am vested with the power to have every pleasure..
unlike those poor women, who don’t even have a permission to fear..
Everything best in this world is made only for we the men..
unlike those poor women, familiar only with the beauty of pain..

I can always talk dirty i can even rape a woman..
may she be in the cradle or on the edge of the grave..
there is no one to stop me cause i am my father’s son..
and not a daughter of some woman slave..

But now i fear as the ball is in the other court..
canon balls with the fierce strength of women have grounded my fort..
at every front i am being defeated by the ones whom i considered inferior..
it’s the dawn of new age where the woman is at the front and not rear..

It’s the time for every woman to be free and fearless..
to break the shackles of social and a manly blindness..
stand for themselves beside the ones who really care..
for icing on the cake now most of the world has become fair..

Women are saving an honor of the nation..
leaving behind the strong and fierce impression..
fear now fears the very sight of a woman so brave..
should i start digging my grave?

Although the time has changed it’s course..
and my existence has been swept away by the heavenly force..
But i still exist somewhere lurking in the darkness..
Still fighting for my mighty race..

He said what he wanted to say..as he is breathing his last day..
a last failed attempt to play..but total darkness has consumed his last ray..

Soon he will die and all the things he said..IT’S WOMAN’s time man have a respect and bow your head..!!!

Bridges – by Aditya Kumar

I saw how a bridge,
could connect,
Any two lands seperated
By ,The fast rivers ,
By,  deep canyons,
By, any big hurdle,
Nature throws in between,
And I wondered, how
These marvelous monuments,
Of mankind,
Balanced  with ease,
And took people across
And I wondered,
What created the gap,
between you and me?
What’s stopping my feelings,
From flowing across,
And then , word by word,
I constructed a bridge…..
But ,you saw me,
And went a step ahead…
And built a wall instead..

Athiest… – By Rohan Radgirkar

The days of monsoon,

the winds blew loud.

And water poured

from a thousand clouds.

Came a man

and stood out the church

Sat on the desk

under the tree of  birch

The clouds poured more

People  cried and frowned .

Within an hour or less

the entire city drowned.

The winds began to moan

Ripping and tearing the city off.

All people except he disappeared

None of them dared to stop.

The Christ in the church got amazed

Seeing his undetermined  will.

Came out he and said,

“Get into the church gentleman, till the winds stand still.”

Said he,” I am no more a gentleman lord

Mind not consider me a priest.

Appearances do deceive sometimes,

I have turned into a mere atheist.”

“I believe you no more ,lord

In you, I have lost faith.

The one who left me alone in hard times

Is now calling me to save my breath?”

“ I have no desire to live,

Coz, I’ve lost everything.

Who cares to lead an animal life

When born as a human being.”

The Christ smiled &said-

“ I believe my son , you are born great.

No matter if you disbelieve  me

But on you , I have utmost faith.”

“Forgive me for all the hardships you faced,

For in future, I’d planned something great.

Coz ,I knew  you would overcome those hurdles ,

As on you ,I had complete faith.”

As he listened  to this,

Tears rolled down his cheek.

Feeling guilty and unpoud,

He lost his nerves and began to freak.

“ No need of being guilty son!”,said lord

“ It wasn’t your fault.

Coz you were broken by the hardships you faced,

Which were as good as a great assault.”

“Remember son, in life,

You still have great things to achieve.

And to overcome all those hurdles

‘In yourself  ’, you  need to believe.

He bowed to the lord with humbleness ,& said-

“ I’ll remember your words my lord, Coz, in life, I still have lot more things to see

And from this moment, I believe,

Not only in myself but also thee.”

Alone… – By Chirag Patil

Alone he walked,
Alone he slept,
In the darkest of the forest…
Alone he wept…

No hands to shake,
No stories to lie,
In the world that foresaked…
He had no shoulders to cry…

To make him smile,
To make him dream,
He had one soul,
To always be with him…

In the worst of pain,
In the land of might,
He had the angel,
To be with him in the darkest of night,…

For the life it inspired,
For the sorrows it drained…
The stone-hearted world,
Finally accepted ,
What he called his…”FRIEND”

@31st eve, Banglore – By Ram Dhobley

And here she arrives,
In her skimpy shorts,
Your eyes may go down,
To find the right spots,
To fixate them there,
Quite lecherously stare,
Cause you thinks it’s for you,
That she has bared…

And here she arrives,
In her skimpy shorts,
You’re finding an opinion,
To label her on spot,
It can be anything,
So you’ll think of everything,
From slut to bitch to whore,
And you’ll spread it in a blink…

And here she arrives,
In her skimpy shorts,
Your hands run wild,
Leaving sanity to rot,
You grab her with might,
To grope her tight,
For you think to touch her,
Is your birthright…

And here she arrives,
In her skimpy shorts,
She’s all alone,
So you won’t waste a shot,
You grab her in a corner,
You rip her of her honour,
Her soul has just died,
Her body being the mourner…

That YOU fits a few,
Not everyone out there,
For many don’t bother,
Whatever you may wear,
They respect your fame,
They care for your name,
Sure there’s a few YOU,
But #notallmen…

Solitude In Darkness – By Chirag Patil

It was the month of spring as always….

The usual sun,the flowers on the ground,

And the trees all dried up as always….

With all the serenity and innocence ,

She began to walk the way as always…..

Behind the sun remained hidden the souls of the darks,

Completely destroyed in there own masculanity as always…

Those steps of despaired anxiety and fake beliefs,

Walking towards her, crushing the blossoms of the spring,

She never thought of this,,,as always….,

The usual sun began to turn dark as they came,

And the song of the wind suddenly turned to a moan,

She knew something was wrong as always….

Too late to run, and too late to fight,

She surrendered to their might as always…..

Again a flower was crushed and a spell was cast,

To degrade the humanity at the lowest,

And tear a soul once again apart,

They tortured her body and killed her soul…..

With an oath to stab the humanity in the back,

They never hesitated to chew her skeleton off,

What was left behind was a despaired hope,

and a silent wish to never take a birth here again,

As always….

A selfie with this balloon guy! – By Swarali Patil

Sometimes life is not at all fair
A poor child in search of money with his balloons filled with air

Curious eyes & an innocent smile on his face
A bit of fear and anxiety but still he wandered on streets with grace

Hardly do we notice in a life full of chaos
His world was   free of worries , but lack of education- a major loss!

Maybe more than money , what they need is food
Although today a selfie filtered with love was enough to change his mood!

The Clear Blue Sky – By Aditya Kumar

I envy it,
The clear blue sky..
How did it reach
this height?
How did it acquire,
So much might.?
It reveals nothing,
But it’s naked stark,
It sees rough times ,
But it bears no mark.
So many passing clouds,
But not a single stain..
So much suffering seen,
But not a bit of pain..
Without any limits ,
What a way to be!
It is ,but the vast sky,
For as high you can see!
It neither owns it’s water
Nor does it own it’s fire..
Is it this emptiness,
Is what people admire?
Nothing it has ,
Nothing it gives..
Still it’s looked up to,
By everything that lives..
I am much like you , very empty
Having nothing of my own,
Everything is a passing cloud ,
Is what my life has shown..
Empty doesn’t mean clear..
There are depression marks..
Of things gone and fears..
That are cold and dark.
When will I reach ,
Your height,
How much longer ?
Is my plight?
These questions ,
I ask in vain..
For you don’t ease ,
My pain
You’re not real,
You’re just an empty lie…
But still I really envy you ..
The clear blue sky
